The role
As the Senior Insurance Broker, you will take full ownership of your role and take your career in insurance to the next step. You will rely on your solid experience to bring quality advise to your clients as well as providing your experience and broad knowledge to a team of junior brokers. With a broad range of clients from small independent businesses to large corporations, you will be exposed and further develop your knowledge of a wide range of industries. Based in the leafy suburb of Camberwell, this role will see you working with the support of an existing national team and will be able to demonstrate a senior level of insurance broking experience, good technical knowledge and a positive approach to business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing the highest level of customer service to an existing portfolio of clients
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, underwriters and other internal and external stakeholders
- Identifying and managing new business enquiries
- Providing mentoring to a more junior team
- Providing good insurance broking practices and structure
The ideal candidate will have:
- Solid experience in Insurance Broking, including management of a portfolio of business and experience in commercial lines
- Tier 1 or Diploma qualifications in General Insurance Broking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong relationship management and customer service
- A high degree of autonomy
- Proficiency in MS Office and insurer quoting systems
