Make-A-Wish is one of Australia’s most trusted charities and part of the largest wish-granting organisations in the world. Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.  We have been operating in Australia since 1985, with more than 900 volunteers across 60 branches plus national headquarters in Melbourne.  Our vision is to grant the wish of every eligible child and so far, we’ve brought over 10,000 unforgettable wishes to life.  Wishes are designed to complement medical treatment, supporting families and empowering sick children with hope and joy when they need it most.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Digital Marketing Manager to join our team, to drive growth and optimise our online customer experience.

The role will be responsible for developing and delivering digital marketing plans to support growth across online channels and activities.

You will act as the central point of expertise and work in collaboration with teams across Make-A-Wish and external partners to deliver successful outcomes. You'll also manage relationships with our digital marketing agencies.

This role can Melbourne or Sydney based.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Use your digital marketing expertise to drive all online activity through creation and optimisation of customer central digital experiences.
  • Develop and deliver digital marketing plans to support growth across fundraising, acquisition and brand led activities.
  • Work with agencies to manage and maximise paid marketing channels return on investment.
  • Conduct regular reporting and campaign evaluations including considered recommendations for future campaign activity based on analysis and market trends.
  • Support ideation, planning and development of new digital initiatives to the market.
  • Build a program of testing and optimization.
  • Support Make-A-Wish’s overarching objectives and champion a culture of innovation and digital thinking.

Your Experience

  • Five years experience working in similar digital roles
  • Tertiary qualifications desirable (but not essential)
  • Highly knowledgeable with experience in managing online platforms such as CMS, search, social, email is essential
  • Previous experience in planning and delivering successful digital marketing growth plans and integrated campaigns is essential
  • Data focused and user led - Ability to provide analytics and reporting as well as understand consumer research. High level of understanding of web analytics and platforms such as Google Analytics essential.
  • Good knowledge of CRO, A/B testing, optimization strategies and reporting with a proven track record of optimising user journey
  • Salesforce and CX experience would be advantageous
  • Proven experience in project management, creative problem solving and effective stakeholder management
